Applicant’s Income Eligibility for All SASSA Grants

If you are applying for an SRD grant, then your monthly income should not be above R624.
For the Child Support grant, the monthly income of the primary caregiver (single and married) should not be more than R5 000 and R10 000, respectively.
Anyone interested in applying for a Care Dependency grant like me should keep in mind that you will receive the grant only if your monthly income is not more than R20,800 if the applicant is single and R41,600 if married.
Any citizen who is earning less than R8,070 per month and R96,840 per year is eligible for a Disability grant if single. For married applicants, the income eligibility for the same grant is R16,140 per month and R193,680 per year.
For older Persons’ grants, grant-in-aid, and war veterans grants, single applicants must not be earning more than R8,070 per month and R16,140 per month if married.
However, there is no income threshold for a Foster Child grant.

Important Note: Please note that apart from the income, SASSA also verifies the assets of the applicants to ensure the transparency and credibility of the grants.
